Story behind the song
David Jon Gilmour, is an English singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He joined the progressive rock band Pink Floyd as guitarist and co-lead vocalist in 1968, effectively as a replacement for founder Syd Barrett, who left the band shortly afterwards, due to mental problems. "One of These Days" is the opening track from Pink Floyd's 1971 album Meddle. The composition features double-tracked bass guitars played by David Gilmour and Roger Waters, with each bass hard panned into one channel of stereo, but one bass sound is quite muted and dull. According to Gilmour, this is because that particular instrument had old strings on it, and the roadie they had sent to get new strings for it wandered off to see his girlfriend instead.. so luckily I had old strings on one bass, and new strings on the other.. just kidding :) All instruments in this re-creation are played by Michael Duran.

Michael, This song sure is different..It's so amazing because it seems to bring the listeners up to date on their lives instead of living in the past. You are a genius. Great musicianship.Wonderful guitar, steel guitar work.

...all the elements of 'One Of These Days', and other late Pink Floyd songs are here...just a scary as the original. Like Rodrica says... 'brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, one man band'. Totally Brilliant with a capital B.

One of my all time favs - I vividly remember the first time I heard this, and it changed my world. This is a fantastic take on a fantastic song - enough references to the original to keep its magic, but packed with original elements - you made this your own. Shine on!

Rodrica already said it all.
Some songs take some real chutzpa to tackle - this be one of 'em. Fan-dang-tastic!!! Excellent slide work and the basses are frighteningly precise. I always wondered if maybe they weren't saying "one of these days, I'm going to eat different types of cheeses" at the break. ;)

Ok...so how did you come up with a track that would take the whole of Pink Floyd, their engineers, producers and a studio full of high end equipment to produce? Brings a while new meaning to the phrase "one man band". Simply awesome!!
