I wrecked another car last night and the week before there was that fight
I swear,I cant get things straight
Everyone I love the most theyve put up with me for so long ,I see why, theyve all turned away
I know I should go to that meeting but its hard cause Ive been drinking
I keep climbing ,I keep climbing
I keep climbing ,just to get to rock bottom
Ive lost jobs and Ive lost sleep ,Ive lost loves and I lose me every time I go down that road
But the devil in that amber glass ,reaching for my trembling hand keeps saying theres further still to go
Mama keeps asking her church to pray for me
I guess by now theyve all got calloused knees
But I keep climbing ,I keep climbing

With every high, I fall a little further down
I know that I could make a change if I could make it to solid ground
